Elevations range from 370' - 480'. There is ample water for wildlife spread around the ranch via 5 well-fed tanks and several troughs. Along with the hardwoods and mesquites, there is high quality browse including guallio, blackbrush, guyacan, granjeno, brasil, and lime prickly ash, among others. Grasses are predominantly a mix of natives such as windmill, side oats gramma, and three-awn. WILDLIFE At the time of this writing, there are twenty bred does fawning in the soft release pen. These does and the breeder bucks are South Texas genetics, and should produce some exceptional bucks. Additionally, there is a herd of 11 scimitar-horned oryx that are a mix of mature and younger (currently pre-breeding age) animals. As a bonus, there are at least a couple of Axis does on property. The turkey population on this ranch and area in general is excellent, and dove hunting can be great, particularly at the tanks. On a recent, short walk through some of the medium-thick country, several pairs of quail were flushed, which is not surprising given the soils and habitat. IMPROVEMENTS There are no vertical improvements on the ranch. There are multiple locations with electrical and water access that would make good homesites. WATER There are two electric wells and one solar installed by the current owner in 2024, plus an older electric well. All are piped to troughs and or small tanks spread around the ranch to insure water is close by for game. MINERALS Surface only (owner has no minerals).
