A $299 deed processing fee is paid with final payment. The quit claim deed is the correct document to be recorded for a mining claim, as stated by the BLM. This is not a sharing with others of your 20 acre claim. The US Government has kept 160 acres along Boulder Creek noted as a mineral withdrawal where no one can locate a claim nor prospect on that 160 acres.
