The Meadow Crest Ranch is located 20 miles East of Las Vegas, New Mexico via highway 104.
TOPOGRAPHY AND CLIMATE: The Meadow Crest Ranch boasts a diverse terrain of open plains and dramatic canyons. Along the North side the ranch is open grassland with juniper trees, whereas the South end consists of deep canyons with live water, pinion trees, and ponderosa pines. The primary grass in the area is blue gramma. Elevations on the ranch vary from 6,000 feet to 6,500 feet. Annual rainfall is around 15-20 inches per year with the bulk of the moisture coming during the monsoon season which is June 15th through September 15th. One can expect to enjoy the weather of all four seasons.
WILDLIFE: The primary big game species on the ranch are elk and mule deer, along with pronghorn antelope, black bear, and mountain lion. Located within GMU 42, the ranch has historically been conservatively hunted.
IMPROVEMENTS: The ranch residence is a well maintained custom built 3,000 square foot home, with four bedrooms and three baths. Working cattle pens are also located on the ranch. Overall the fences are well maintained.
WATER: There are four wells on the property. Two solar wells, one windmill and an electric well that supplies the main home. In addition, there are multiple springs in the canyons, and dirt stock tanks throughout.
