Pronghorn Paradise Farms lies in the highly productive Yonna Valley, just northwest of Bonanza and 20 miles east of Klamath Fall, Oregon. Once a potato farm, now a highly productive alfalfa/grain operation. This high desert farm produces high test dairy quality alfalfa, due to the low humidity summer weather and mostly sandy loam soil. Hay is mostly sold to Central Valley California dairies and exported overseas. New buyers will be given contact if interested. This highly efficient farm operates off of two wells with a static water level at approximately 36 feet, which translates into a pumping cost of $82 per acre for the season. The 400Hp well is operated by a Variable Speed Drive to optimize power and labor efficiency. This farm has operated with one employee due to the highly efficient irrigation system in place.
