Gooch Falls Timber and Rec Tract

This 40 acre Gooch Falls is part of the MFI Investment tree farm portfolio of 10 tracts being offered in June 11, 2025 Sealed Bid Auction. It is located south of Marion Forks, on the east side of Hwy 22 off of Marion Creek Road. It is one of three contiguous tracts in the portfolio, providing opportunity to acquire a block of 197 acres. There are 33 acres of merch timber and adjoining ownership is Willamette National Forest. There is access from Hwy 22 using Marion Creek Road (USFS Road 2255). Over one-quarter mile of Marion Creek runs through the middle of Gooch Falls Tract, including historic Gooch Falls. There is a popular viewpoint hikers have used to view Gooch Falls. Please use extreme caution on hiking trail when viewing. Remnants of a log cabin used by Nathan Gooch, who took a squatter claim, is located near the waterfall.
