The Hunter Road Farm lies in the north-eastern part of the state of Oregon within the County of Union and has an approximate gross acreage of 457.56. The city of La Grande is located approximately six (6) miles southwest of the Subject Property.
The Subject Property is located within the Upper Grande Ronde River Watershed (UGRRW ). Irrigation water rights are regulated by the Oregon Water Resource Department (OWRD). The Subject Property is not within an Irrigation District and is not subject to any water assessments.
The Subject Property has three water certificates that provide 455.00 primary water right place of use acres (POU) and 54.90 supplemental water right POU acres.
The Subject Property has two groundwater wells identified as groundwater log ID UNIO 52060 and UNIO 51475 . The primary source of water is from Well No 3 (UNIO 52060)which was drilled in to a depth of 1,200. The well is powered by a 250 HP motor and variable frequency drive The other well is permitted for temporary use. The water right allows for the irrigation of 400.10 primary acres and 54.90 supplemental acres. The date of priority is August 12, 1964. The maximum rate is 5.6 cfs, further limited to no more than 2.8 cfs from Well No. 3 and 2.8 cfs from Well No. 1.
The Subject Property is irrigated with groundwater from the well and water is delivered to an underground (12 inch) pipeline. There is one Valley 8 tower pivot and one Valley 8 Tower pivot.
