For the last 25 plus years the Lake Dawson Farm has been producing US Farm Raised catfish in Sunflower County, MS. Little by little over the course of this summer the catfish have been removed and ponds have begun to be drained and will not be restocked. Improvements on the farm include 5 60 HP electric wells, 1 40' X 150' metal building (40'X 60' enclosed with slab), and a 3 bedroom 1 bath brick home. There are several future options for the new owner of this farm. 1 - Continue catfish production. 2 - The ponds could be leveled and converted to a row crop operation. 3 - Being situated 4 miles NW of Dutch Break, 1 mile N of Lake Dawson, and 3 miles E of the Sunflower River, this farm would make a great CRP or WRE unit with a camp and shop already in place. Wintering waterfowl are no stranger to this area of Sunflower County and deer are killed in the area in the 156"-160" range or bigger annually.
