Dakota County, NE Auction - Offering 30 Tracts
James and Jackie Harnett both grew up in Northeast Nebraska where they were married in 1951 and made their home in Hubbard, Nebraska for over 70 years. Together, they raised a family of nine children and partnered to build a successful farming operation know today as J. Hartnett Farms. Jackie was the head of logistics for J. Hartnett Farms, helping ensure both the farming operation and the family all ran smoothly. In addition to Jackies work at home and on the farm, Jackie was a dedicated public servant where she served on numerous boards including five successive terms as the Dakota County Commissioner. Jim was a devoted naturalist and worked with Nebraska Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Department of Agriculture on several projects over the years. These experiences translated back to the farming operation where Jim was well known for improving their farms to maintain conservation practices while maximizing farmability. The J.
