Hicks Ranch

The Hicks Ranch is a fine combination property conveniently located between Gilmer and Pittsburg on FM 556. This property has been in the same family for decades which has preserved a lot of its great history and memories. LOCATION The ranch is located 8 miles southwest of Pittsburg and 16 miles northwest of Gilmer in northern Upshur County and partially in Camp County. TOPOGRAPHY, RANGELAND & HABITAT The topography near the FM frontage has a gentle roll and includes most of the pasture portions. These open areas boast productive improved and native grasses. Wooded draws extend from the creek bottom running near the eastern boundary and feature many mature hardwoods. The topography on the eastern portions of the property is very attractive. There are many small fields along the creek that would make great food plots. WILDLIFE There are many opportunities to pursue native wildlife including deer and hogs.
