Buildable Lot in the Historic Fort Hill District of East Macon located about a mile east of Macon's central business district is the Fort Hill Historic District. Fort Hill was accepted onto the National Register of Historic Places due to the area's significance in historic architecture and community planning representing the 1870s through the 1940s.
