These cover types and the borders between them provide quite a diverse set of wildlife habitats and edge effect zones that support healthy animal populations and landscape features that help them thrive.
The age and spatial distribution of the areas planted in pine(established in 1995, 2017, and 2021), along with the interspersed natural plant communities work together to provide all stages of ecological succession, also supporting healthy and diverse wildlife populations.
